Foreign Minister Lyonpo Damcho Dorji met H.E. Dr. Martin Ney, Ambassador of Germany in New Delhi. During the meeting, Lyonpo Damcho Dorji thanked Germany for honouring His Majesty the King, the People and the Royal Government of Bhutan by awarding the German Sustainability Award 2016 to Hon’ble Lyonchhen. The Award was a befitting recognition of the leadership of Bhutan’s successive Monarchs, the people and the Royal Government in ensuring sustainability in every aspect of Bhutan’s development.
Lyonpo Damcho also discussed bilateral relations between Bhutan and Germany, and the possibility of enhancing cooperation between the two countries including through employment of Bhutanese in Germany.
