A delegation of Ambassadors of the European Union led by H.E. Mr. Tomasz Kozlowski, EU Ambassador to Bhutan called on the Hon’ble Foreign Minister Lyonpo Damcho Dorji on 31st January 2017 at the Gyelyong Tshokhang. The EU Ambassadors delegation visited Bhutan from 30 January – 3 February 2017. During the visit, the delegation received the honor of audiences with both His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo. The delegation also called on Hon’ble Lyonchhen, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Minister of Agriculture & Forests, Leader of Opposition; and met with officials from the GNH Commission, Center for Bhutan Studies and Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Official meals were also hosted for the delegation.
A handing over ceremony of financing agreements for an EU project ‘Support to Local Government and Public Finance Management’ was counter signed by the Secretary of the GNH Commission on 1st February.
The Ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta, and Charge d’Affaires of Austria and Spain, all of whom are resident in India, comprised the EU Ambassadors delegation.
