Ambassador Pema Choden attended the ‘Day for Happiness’ conference in Prague organized by Foundation Stastne Cesko (“The Happy Czech Republic Foundation”) and the Friends of Bhutan Society – Czech Republic on 9th May 2017. Over 300 participants including renowned individuals from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Bhutan attended the day-long event. Several speakers made reference to Bhutan and the concept of Gross National Happiness during their presentations. Foundation Stastne Cesko also announced that they will be launching GNH indicators in Czech Republic which is inspired by Bhutan’s GNH indicators. The event also included a fashion show of traditional Bhutanese wear and contemporary western designs using Bhutanese textiles. The event attracted over 300 participants.
