Her Majesty Gyalyum Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck to grace the inauguration of the ‘Bhutan Week’ in New Delhi  as Chief Guest 

At the invitation of the Government of India, Her Majesty Gyalyum Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck will grace the opening ceremony  of the ‘Bhutan Week’ on 23rd September 2018 as Chief Guest along with H.E. Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice-President of India. Her Majesty will be accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary, the Foreign Secretary and other senior officials. 

2018 marks the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Bhutan and India. As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, ‘Bhutan Week’ is being organized by the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs of India, the Indian Council of Cultural Relations and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) at IGNCA Complex in New Delhi, from 23rd to 30th September 2018. 

The ‘Bhutan Week’ will be the biggest event on Bhutan ever held in India with a cross-section of 300 participants from Bhutan who will showcase Bhutan’s rich culture and the Bhutanese way of life.
