- Society-Switzerland Bhutan (SSB)
Established in 2000, SSB was founded with the mission to encourage social, charitable, ecological, cultural and other philanthropic projects. Over the years, SSB has worked closely with various public and private organizations in Bhutan to further strengthen the unique bonds of friendship between the people of Bhutan and Switzerland. The Bhutan-Switzerland Society (BSS) is the local sister organization of SSB. The President of SSB is Mr. Claudio Zingg.
- Austria –Bhutan Society
Austria-Bhutan Society (ABS) was established in March 1998 with the objective of promoting people-to-people contact between the two countries. The Society undertook various activities and projects in Bhutan such as construction of a community school at Pangtoka, Trashiyangtse, establishment of Druk-Yul park in Vienna and provision of scholarships. The Austrian Bhutan Society contributed EUR 10,000 to His Majesty’s Kidu Fund for COVID-19 on 7 June 2020.
The President of the Society is Dr. Claus Walter.
- Friends of Bhutan Association, Austria
The Association was established in 2018 under the name “Friends of JDWNR Hospital ” when a medical project was supported. In 2019, the Association was re-named “Friends of Bhutan Association, Austria”. The Association contributes to a partnership between Austria and Bhutan and supports social, cultural, and medical institutions in Bhutan.
The President of the Association is Ms. Liselotte Waldheim-Natural.
- Society of Friends of Bhutan in Austria
The Society of Friends of Bhutan in Austria, together with the Austrian Development Agency supported a project to improve the living conditions of the student monks in Pangri Zampa by providing the monastic community there with. The Project was completed in November 2009.
