The Permanent Representative Ambassador Doma Tshering met with Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), a role she assumed since 13 September 2018.
Ms. Alishjahbana and Ambassador Doma Tshering discussed Bhutan’s graduation from the LDC status, the Istanbul Programme of Action and the importance of regional commissions in supporting acceleration of SDGs in Asia Pacific, particularly countries in special situations.
