VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – RECEPTIONIST
PERMANENT MISSION OF THE KINGDOM OF BHUTAN TO THE UNITED NATIONS

The Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the United Nations is pleased to announce a vacancy for the post of Receptionist. The Receptionist shall work under direct supervision of the Head of Mission.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering and routing phone calls
- Greeting/welcoming visitors and directing them to the relevant officer
- Making appointments and arrangements for meetings
- Managing incoming/outgoing mail/shipping
- Taking and delivering messages
- Printing, photocopying etc.
- Managing access to the Mission and maintaining a record of visitors
- Providing administrative support when required
- Any other tasks that may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Language: Professional proficiency in English language
- Experience: At least two years of relevant work experience
- Good typing skills
- Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Fixed term contact for 2 years subject to review and assessment prior to renewal
- Terms and conditions of employment shall be in accordance with the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the Royal Government of Bhutan
- The selected candidate shall join office by 1 February 2025
- The first 3 months shall be a probation period, after which employment may be regularized based on performance
WORKING HOURS
40 hours per week on average, with flexibility required as per exigencies that may arise
REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS
Monthly salary shall be fixed based on work experience in the relevant field
Other benefits includes;
- Overtime payment beyond working hours
- Annual Leave of 21 days
- Casual Leave of 10 days
- Medical Leave etc.
