Ambassador Pema Choden, on behalf of the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB), exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding with Mr. Marc Vandewalle, Vice Chancellor of the University College of Leuven-Limburg (UCLL).
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the two universities will promote cooperation in the teaching and research activities of the respective institutions through the European Union’s Erasmus+ grants with a focus on teacher education, capacity building, and staff and student mobility.
During the event, Ambassador Pema Choden expressed her hope that collaboration between the two universities will promote the quality of teacher education in Bhutan and also promote friendship between the people and students of Bhutan and Belgium. The MoU between the RUB and UCLL is the first of its kind between Bhutan and Belgium.
