The Royal Bhutanese Embassy and the Bhutanese students studying in Thailand joined the nation in celebrating the joyous occasion of the 37th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King on 21st February 2017.

The auspicious occasion was marked by special prayers conducted by the monks of the Wat Kok Hiran temple in Ayudhaya Province for His Majesty’s long life and, long and prosperous reign. Following the prayers the Embassy staff and Bhutanese students offered “Tshetar” by releasing fishes into the Chaophraya river.

In keeping with His Majesty’s tireless efforts in supporting and engaging with students, the Embassy staff and Bhutanese students also interacted with the students of the Wat Kok Primary School in Ayudhaya Province. The Embassy donated rice, bed linen, stationary and sports equipment to the school. Lunch was hosted by the Bhutanese Students Association for the monks, school children and the local community.
