The Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB) will be presenting its Third Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the situation of human rights in Bhutan to the UN Human Rights Councilโ€™s Working Group on 8th May 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland. Lyonpo (Dr.) Tandi Dorji, Minister for Foreign Affairs will be leading a delegation composed of senior officials from various agencies of the Royal Government, including a representative of the Civil Society Organization (CSO). The Review of a Member Stateโ€™s human rights record is under taken on the basis of a national report submitted by the RGoB and independent reports submitted by the various treaty bodies, UN entities, CSOs and human rights watch groups.
