His Excellency Mr. Phub Tshering, Consul General of Bhutan called-on His Excellency Brig. B.D. Mishra, (Retd.) Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and presented consular exequatur on 11 October 2019 at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
The Consul General also called-on Shri Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and discussed on various bilateral issues for strengthening age-old ties between Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh.
The Royal Bhutanese Consulate General in Guwahati, Assam with concurrent consular jurisdiction over Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Nagaland was inaugurated on 2 February 2018 by His Excellency Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam and His Excellency Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, the then Minister of Foreign Affairs in presence of Lyonchhen Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the then Prime Minister of Bhutan.
