The Civil Servant Award Ceremony for the Royal Bhutanese Embassy, New Delhi was held on 29 December 2016. H.E. Ambassador Major General V. Namgyel awarded the medals to the recipients as follows:
- Pema Gyeltshen, Health Attaché (Gold for 30 years of service)
- Sonam Jaimo, Senior Admin. Assistant (Gold for 30 years of service)
- A.K. Barua, Admin. Assistant II (Gold – 30 years of service)
- Kinga Lhamo, Second Secretary, Protocol (Bronze – 10 years of service)
During the award ceremony which was attended by the officers and the staff of the Royal Bhutanese Embassy, Ambassador Namgyel highlighted the importance of the event and said that this award was instituted by the Royal Civil Service Commission on the command of His Majesty the King to acknowledge and express appreciation to the recipients for their dedicated service to the Tsa-Wa-Sum and with the expectation that they will continue to work hard and take on higher responsibilities in the service of the Tsa-Wa Sum.
