Royal Bhutanese Embassy Celebrates 36th Birth Anniversary of the His Majesty the King

The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi joined the nation in celebrating the special occasion of the 36th Birth Anniversary of the His Majesty the King on 21st February 2016 at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy. More than 200 Bhutanese including Bhutanese working in Delhi, Bhutanese students studying in and around Delhi participated in the celebration.

The celebrations commenced at 11:00 AM at the lawn in front of the Chancery with the hoisting of the national flag, singing of the national anthem and presenting of the guard of honour by the Royal Bhutan Army personnel stationed at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy. Hon’ble Kutshab addressed the gathering on the importance of the occasion.

This was followed by a cake cutting ceremony and the offering of a butter lamp. The Bhutanese students then staged a cultural program. The celebrations concluded with the Tashi Lebay and all those present joining the nation to pray for the long life, good health and happiness of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen, His Majesty the Fourth King, His Royal Highness the
Gyalsey and the members of the Royal Family.
