The Royal Bhutanese Embassy, New Delhi, celebrated the 115th National Day of Bhutan. The joyous occasion was celebrated among officials and staff of the Embassy, family members, and Bhutanese community working in New Delhi.
The celebration commenced with the offering of butter lamps and hoisting of the National flag followed by the National Anthem, marchang ceremony and offering of Zhabten for His Majesty The King.
Chargé d’Affairs Ugen Chozom awarded the Royal Civil Service Award Medals and Certificates to five officials and staff of the Embassy for their dedicated service to the Tsa-Wa-Sum.
Like all National Day celebrations, the main part of the celebration of the auspicious occasion was the National Day Address of His Majesty The King to the Nation, which was watched together by everyone gathered at the Embassy.
All guests then took part in a traditional cultural program followed by lunch.
Coinciding with the National Day Celebrations, the Royal Bhutanese Embassy also launched the nineteenth edition of the Embassy’s annual publication Window on Bhutan 2022 Magazine. The Magazine, which will be available on the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Bhutanese Embassy, highlights some of the important developments in Bhutan, this year.
