Visa for Bhutanese officials travelling abroad

The visa procedure and requirements for Bhutanese officials traveling abroad:

The Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Dhaka processes visas only for Bhutanese officials traveling to South Korea and Pakistan for official purposes. The duly-filled visa application form and other required documents should be accompanied by a letter issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bhutan, directing the Embassy to facilitate the processing of an appropriate visa.

The visa application form and other required documents must reach the Embassy four weeks prior to the date of travel so as to obtain an appropriate visa on time. The Embassy does not take responsibility for the applicant’s failure to obtain his or her visa on time arising from delayed submission or non-provision of required documents to process visas. 

The applicant’s passport and other required documents along with the visa application form must be sent through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ diplomatic mailbag. The same channel will be used to return passports once appropriate visas have been obtained from the issuing missions in Dhaka.
