The Consulate and the Mission staff led by the Consul General/ Charge`s d’ affaires a.i. attended the 116th National Day at a community hall in Queens, on 16th December 2023. The event commenced with a rendition of the national anthem followed by Marchang ceremony and address to the gathering by Consul General highlighting the significance of the National Day.
In significant addition to the this year’s National Day celebration, the attendee were privileged to witness the live address by His Majesty the King from the capital.The celebration was observed featuring cultural dances by the Bhutanese community and a fund raising raffle draw initiated by the he United Bhutanese Association of New York (UBANY).
The event was coordinated by UBANY in collaboration with the Consulate office with an aim to bring Bhutanese community together and to promote our tradition and cultural values to younger generations.
